I am not a photographer

The purpose of these images isn’t to ‘capture moments’ or to ‘create memories’. An experience cannot never be recreated. They are lost to time and memory. The idea is to encourage a new experience, which is why I prefer to set my camera to ‘monochrome’. These moody images are meant to invoke a sense of longing and nostalgia. An aching familiarity which can never quite be placed.
